Overview
Soldier: 76 is one of the original members of Overwatch, a multinational task force created to restore peace and stability to the world after the Omnic Crisis. As a highly skilled and experienced soldier, he was a key member of the team and played a significant role in its early victories.
Soldier 76 was a respected leader and a capable fighter, but he was also haunted by the fall of the organization and the betrayal of one of his closest friends, Gabriel Reyes (who later became the villainous Reaper).
In the events leading up to Overwatch 2, Soldier 76 has been working on his own, trying to uncover the truth behind Overwatch’s collapse and the mysterious organization known as Talon.
